Die Casting Industry

March 3rd, 2010

Die Casting is the process involving the melting a metal (Aluminum, Zinc or Magnesium) and inserting it into a die and cooling it to form a part. The die casting process has a number of advantages over other processes used to form metal products. Parts are made to near net shape with good repeatability. Die castings can also be made to form complex geometry. Also, die cast manufacturer rapidly increases production process where high volume parts can be made economically.

Midwest aluminum die casting companies manufacture components for customers in the automotive, structural hardware, plumbing and furniture industries. In over 60 years of existence, these companies built a strong reputation within the industry for innovation, quality service and manufacturing expertise. Capable and experienced workforces allow them to constantly create excellence die castings for the customers. Most of them operate from a wholly-owned production facility which may be included in a potential sale transaction.

Primary opportunities include acquisition by a synergistic buyer desiring to enter the industry or a strategic industry buyer looking to add capacity and a stable additional revenue stream.
Fromkon are known for their prototype die casting and high pressure die castings in aluminum, magnesium and zinc. They participate in prototype development to series production through their three processes: investment casting, soft tooling and die castings. Prototype die casting and important part optimization are made in Denmark, their head office, while the other die castings are produce in China.

Future die cast aluminum and Engineering Inc. joins the following services into one facility: support for engineering and design, tooling, produces high pressure castings in steel dies for prototype die casting and its production, cast parts using vacuum or oxygen displacement to minimize porosity as necessary secondary machining, CMM layout inspection, metal analysis and x-ray in their TS-16949 certified quality lab5. With these services, they can have for a seamless, timely transition from one process to the next, which allows them to attain their goals.
